Athens 2015 Veteran World Wrestling Championships is just around the corner (October 13th-18th at Tae Kwon Do Indoor Hall) and preparations are on schedule and at a highly satisfying rate. Such a sport event has attracted attention globally. As a result Greek National Wrestling Federation is accepting more and more applications forms from athletes as the days go by. More than 700 male and female wrestlers from 41 countries will attend Athens 2105 Veteran World Wrestling Championships.
Olympic medalists, world and national champions are among them. The first delegations have arrived in Greece. Twenty referees that will also attend World Wrestling Federation’s clinic (10-12/10) arrived today. Most of the teams are expected in Athens on Sunday (October 11th).
Needless to point out, that most of the success for any sports events, go to volunteers. At Athens 2015 Veteran World Wrestling Championships, volunteers (average age 25-30) will have a major role. The oldest volunteer is 65 years old, speaks seven languages and is stationed at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” providing assist to the help desk.
